TRSA Adds Educational Sessions to Tech/Plant Summit

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — With more than 200 registered for the Textile Rental Services Association’s (TRSA) 2009 Tech/Plant Summit, slated for March 3-5 in Phoenix, Ariz., the association has added more educational sessions to broaden the scope of the Summit and include more classes on green marketing.

TRSA, UTSA Boards Vote to Restructure Operations; TRSA Providing Member Services

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The boards of directors of the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) and the Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA) have voted unanimously to restructure the operations of their associations, TRSA and UTSA members learned via e-mail late Thursday afternoon.

UTSA Unveils Restructuring Plan, Renews Top Exec's Contract

ARLINGTON, Va. — Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA) members will vote on a proposal next month to significantly reshape the association's dues and funding structure.

The restructuring plan approved by the board of directors provides for funding of all legislative and regulatory work independently and separately from dues.

Talks Don't Resolve Consolidation Impasse, But Leave Room for Optimism

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A long-awaited meeting this morning didn't clear the roadblocks stalling consolidation of the Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA) and the Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA) but served to confirm that the two groups will continue working together on the issue.

A committee of TRSA and UTSA representatives met in Alexandria and later issued this joint statement:

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA) "lacks authority" to "delay" its Jan. 1 consolidation with the Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA), UTSA Chairman Jim Buik said Thursday in a letter to TRSA Chairman Michael Potack.
