ABILENE, Texas – ARCO/Murray National Construction Co. reports that it has completed a new, 48,000-square-foot healthcare laundry facility here.

The project is a result of successful collaboration between three hospitals in the region—Hendrick Healthcare in Abilene, Medical Center Healthcare in Odessa, Texas, and Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas—whose union formed a jointly owned company, Texas Healthcare Linen LLC.

Ground was broken in September 2010, and the facility processed its first linen in May. The 25-million-pound-per-year facility will be servicing the three member hospitals, in addition to pursuing outside work.

The Texas Healthcare Linen facility features a Milnor washfloor, Chicago® finishing equipment and an E-Tech overhead rail system.
