BURBANK, Calif. — ARAMARK Uniform Services has opened a new 52,000-square-foot laundry facility designed for environmental friendliness in Van Ormy, Texas.

ARAMARK has provided services to the San Antonio, Texas, area from its Dallas plant for the past 15 years. To underscore its commitment to the local community and reduce its fleet’s fuel consumption, the company worked with GMA Design Group and Arco-Murray Construction Co. to build the new energy-efficient facility, ARAMARK says.

CHICAGO — Conference attendees from the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) of the American Hospital Association donated $1,256.94 to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul — San Antonio Chapter (SVDP).

As part of ASHES’ fourth annual Hearts and Hands Event, attendees were asked to donate $1 each to raise funds for the local charity. Sodexo Health Care Services and Wexford Labs, both ASHES sponsors, matched the donations raised. ASHES members, Sodexo and Wexford Labs raised a grand total of $3,770.82 for SVDP.
