California-Based Airline Taps Mission Linen Supply for Napkin Service

BURLINGAME, Calif. — Virgin America has awarded a two-year contract to Mission Linen Supply, which will supply white linen napkins for passengers flying the new airline.

BURLINGAME, Calif. — Virgin America has awarded a two-year contract to Mission Linen Supply, which will supply white linen napkins for passengers flying the new airline.

Virgin America serves San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Cancun, Dallas-Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Cabos, New York, Orlando, San Diego, Seattle and Washington D.C.

Mission Linen Supply plants in Chino and Sacramento, Calif., and in Dallas will provide the linen service for the California and Texas airports.

Angelica Offers $4.1 Million for Bankrupt West Coast Linen

SAN FRANCISCO — The court-appointed trustee for Lohrey Enterprises, doing business as West Coast Linen, reports that Angelica Textile Services has offered $4.1 million for the bankrupt commercial laundry company.

A Friday hearing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California, has been scheduled for approval of the sale.

Appellate Court Orders Cintas to Pay $1.18 Million in Back Wages, Interest

SAN FRANCISCO – The California Court of Appeal has upheld a 2005 judgment against Cintas Corp., ordering it to pay more than $1.18 million in back wages and interest to 219 Northern California workers for violating the city of Hayward’s Living Wage Ordinance.

The decision affirming a September 2005 Alameda Superior Court ruling is believed to be the largest living-wage award in U.S. history, according to UNITE HERE, which has been attempting to unionize Cintas since 2003.
