CINCINNATI — On any given night, between 700,000 and 2 million homeless people are left to struggle through the night in the United States, according to estimates from the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty (NLCHP). And given the current economic crisis, it’s a statistic that’s certainly going to garner more attention.

Procter & Gamble Professional, Homewood Suites by Hilton and the National Coalition for the Homeless are combining efforts to donate freshly laundered, hotel-quality sheets to homeless shelters in 15 U.S. cities beginning this week.

"There are many people out there who can benefit from the linens the hotel industry takes out of circulation," says Rebecca Wyatt, senior vice president, brand management, Homewood Suites by Hilton.
