In Memoriam: Roger Milliken, Chairman, Milliken & Co.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Roger Milliken, one of the last in the tradition of industrialists who built America’s manufacturing success, died Thursday at the age of 95. He was the chairman of Milliken & Co., a prominent textile and chemical manufacturer.

A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled for 2 p.m. today here at the Episcopal Church of the Advent.

Milliken & Co. to Host Annual Laundry Management Seminar in March

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Milliken & Co. invites laundry managers, executive housekeepers and other professionals who rent or process table linen to attend the company’s annual laundry management and quality training seminar here next month.

The March 30-April 3 seminar at Milliken’s headquarters will expose participants to the various aspects of the hospitality and commercial laundry industries and enhance their knowledge of laundering methods and equipment while exposing them to the company’s advanced research and testing facilities.

Milliken Entertains, Educates During Annual Processing Seminar

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Milliken & Co. played host recently to a bevy of laundry managers and administrators during the annual Laundry & Hospitality Services Processing Seminar, providing networking opportunities, educational sessions and tours of Milliken’s headquarters and select manufacturing facilities.

Milliken’s Napery Fabrics business hosts the low-cost event for invited laundry managers, executive housekeepers and other professionals who rent or process table linens.

TEXTILES: Kevin Keyes is the Laundry Service Team (LST) leader for Milliken & Co.'s Napery Fabrics Business, Spartanburg, S.C. His team provides technical and marketing support to the textile rental industry. He's been with Milliken for 18 years, having served the first 11 in textile manufacturing.
