ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Halifax Linen Service, which supplies companies in the Southeast with commercial linen and uniforms, will expand its facility here, create 81 jobs and invest $1.6 million in the area during the next three years.
It was made possible in part by an $81,000 state grant, says Gov. Michael Easley. Halifax's expansion project includes construction of a distribution center to better serve its customers. The expected average weekly wage of the new jobs is $544 plus benefits.
