Mission Linen Supply Signs Contract with Two Lancaster, Calif., Facilities

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Mission Linen Supply has signed an exclusive three-year contract with Lancaster Community Hospital and Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Lancaster, Calif. Under the arrangement, both facilities will rely on Mission Linen’s Lancaster plant to meet all of their patient linen-supply needs, the textile rental company says.

Officer Disarms Gunman Near Hospital Laundry

LANCASTER, Ohio — A hospital security officer was able to disarm and detain an off-duty employee armed with a handgun near the Fairfield Medical Center’s laundry department after the suspect confronted another employee who works there, according to a news report posted on the hospital’s website.

The incident occurred before lunchtime June 13 near the second-floor laundry, according to the report from WBNS-TV, Columbus, Ohio.

Gorman Distributors Purchases Right to Conduct Business for Howard Enterprises

LANCASTER, Pa. — Gorman Distributors has purchased the right to conduct business for Howard Enterprises, Harrisburg, Pa.

The purchase expands Gorman’s customer base, and Gorman will continue to provide service to Howard’s customers and expand product selections, Gorman says. The purchase, along with recently picked up distributorships for R&B Wire Products, Rema Dri-Vac Corp., Solomatic and others, has made the company into a national supplier.
