LAS VEGAS – Brady Industries reports that it has acquired the resort laundry division of southern Nevada commercial laundry service supplier Mission Industries. Terms were not announced.

Joining Brady’s linen division are 884 employees and three processing facilities. The acquisition brings Brady’s workforce to 2,011, making it one of the nation’s largest resort laundry service providers, the company says.

Brady will now process approximately 1 million pounds of laundry per day in its six Las Vegas facilities.

“I am thrilled to welcome Mission Industries to the Brady Industries family,” says Brady Industries CEO Travis Brady. “We believe in Las Vegas, and this acquisition provides us with the people and resources to continue to service our customers into the future.”

Headquartered in Las Vegas since 1947, Brady Industries is a third-generation, family-owned, full-line janitorial supply and commercial laundry services company.

Brady Linen Services was started in 2000 to address the demand for higher quality and service in the evolving Las Vegas market. It expanded steadily from its original 40,000-square-foot plant, opening a second facility in 2006 and a third in 2009.

NEW ORLEANS — It’s never too early to plan. Clean Show planners Riddle & Associates announced this morning at an exhibitor meeting that the show will return to Las Vegas for its next appearance, with dates set for June 6-9, 2011.

This will be the fifth time that the Clean Show has been held in “Fabulous” Las Vegas. With this schedule, Las Vegas ties Chicago for most shows, and surpasses New Orleans, which has hosted four shows including 2009. Atlanta and Orlando have hosted the show twice, while Dallas took on the task once.

LAS VEGAS — One thing is certain about Las Vegas: it changes on an almost daily basis.

It’s not the same city that the laundry industry visited at Clean ’03, and definitely isn’t the same as it was for Clean ’97. It has grown from a small desert town to one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

Gone are the dark, velvet-walled hotels and casinos of Bugsy Siegel’s day. The new Las Vegas continues to add larger, more elaborate and elegant hotels and towering condominiums to its skyline.
