ALM Announces Candidates for National Offices

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Association for Linen Management (ALM) has approved a slate of officer candidates for election during its national conference this summer and Bart Carpenter, a laundry production coordinator from Oregon, is running unopposed for the association’s presidency.

Carpenter, who is currently ALM’s senior vice president, works at Oregon Correctional Enterprises, Deer Ridge Correctional Institution, in Madras, Ore.

NAILM Membership Renames Organization Association for Linen Management

LAS VEGAS — Members of the National Association of Institutional Linen Management (NAILM) voted Sunday to rename the organization the “Association for Linen Management,” known by the acronym ALM.

An ad hoc committee authorized by the association’s membership last year to study a possible name change “sifted through a vast number” of suggestions before sending two to the board of directors, according to Bart Carpenter, who chairs the association’s bylaws committee.

NAILM Members to Vote on Name Change in June

RICHMOND, Ky. — Members of the National Association of Institutional Linen Management (NAILM) will be asked to vote on changing the association’s name at NAILM’s annual meeting just prior to the Clean Show in Las Vegas, reports Bart Carpenter, senior vice president, in the association’s NLM Journal.

An ad hoc committee authorized by NAILM’s membership at the 2006 annual meeting “sifted through a vast number” of suggestions before sending two to the NAILM board.
