DURHAM, N.C. — The American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA), in conjunction with the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) and North Carolina State University, has finalized the selection of speakers for its healthcare seminar this spring.

Durham’s Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club will host The Insider’s Guide II: Reusable Medical Textiles — The Role of Textiles and Successful Pack Room Operations, a hands-on, two-day seminar, on Wednesday and Thursday, April 30 and May 1.

LAS VEGAS — The American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA), in celebration of its 25th anniversary, announced plans this morning during its member breakfast to host another two-day, hands-on seminar next spring on medical textiles.

Durham, N.C., will be the site of the seminar that’s been tentatively scheduled for April 30 and May 1. The event, ARTA’s second such seminar, is to be held in conjunction with North Carolina State University.

FAIRWAY, Kan. — The board of directors for the American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA) has appointed Nancy Jenkins its new executive director.

She succeeds Bill Carroll, who began serving in 2000 and announced his retirement at the end of 2006.

Jenkins has been editor of the organization’s Reusable Textiles newsletter since January 2004 and played a key role in planning and executing ARTA’s first seminar on reusable surgical textiles in spring 2006.
