FAIRFIELD, N.J. — In response to member requests, the Textile Care Allied Trades Assn. (TCATA) is ramping up its educational offerings starting next month.
Beginning March 8, it will offer one-day, intensive sales training seminars in select major cities around the country, focusing on sales negotiations, selling on more than price and business prospecting. On March 28, it will co-sponsor the first in a series of webinars on various topics in 2007.
The sales training seminars will provide salespeople with tangible tools they can use to increase sales and add value, TCATA says. William McCormick, founder and president of Sales and Training Results, will be the instructor. Included in the registration fee will be a manual that reinforces the seminar's points and contains valuable training tools.
While all TCATA members are welcome to attend any seminar they wish, the association is staging the seminar in various locations around the country to keep airfare and hotel costs down. Seminars are planned in New York (March 8) and Chicago (date to be announced), and will be held in other major cities depending on level of interest.
On March 28, TCATA and the Association Education Alliance will sponsor Demonstrating Total Cost Savings, a webinar presented by Tim Underhill, Strategic Business Solutions. This will help both manufacturers and distributors learn ways to demonstrate to their customers the value they bring beyond just price, TCATA says.
The 90-minute presentation will focus on why customers need suppliers who can reduce their total operating costs, and why these suppliers need to show their value. It will be a live training session, with visuals delivered via the Internet and audio delivered via telephone. There’s no limit to the number of participants at a given site for the one-time fee.
