Competition Excites, Energizes many to Improve Operations, Survey Shows

CHICAGO — Half of those responding to this month's Wire survey say that competition excites and energizes them to continue to make operational improvements.

Competition makes 22.2% of respondents "anxious, because the threat … always makes me question if my service is doing the best job it can."

Roughly 17% say they're unconcerned by competition because they're confident in their service's abilities, and 11.1% say they're complacent because their customer base is well established "and I don't really care if another service is poking around."
