CHICAGO — The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES), the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) and the Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA) are busy preparing to host fall membership meetings.
ASHES and IEHA will conduct their annual conferences, while TRSA will gather its member leaders for the annual Joint Committee Meeting (JCM).
• ASHES — “Accelerating Performance: Crossing the Threshold” is the theme for the 24th ASHES Annual Conference and Marketplace scheduled for Sept. 20-24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nev.
Educational sessions of special interest to members with laundry/linen responsibilities will be “Making the Decision to Outsource Linen and Laundry Service” by Ed McCauley, president/CEO of United Hospital Services, and “Textile Innovations for Healthcare Laundries” by Brad Bushman, vice president, Technical Affairs, Standard Textile Co.
The two-day Marketplace (Sept. 21-22) will offer attendees the chance to find the right tools to accelerate performance among the cutting-edge technologies, products and services on display.

• IEHA — The 43rd Annual IEHA Conference & Convention is scheduled for Oct. 5-9 at the McCormick Place Convention Center and the Chicago Mart Plaza Hotel, in conjunction with ISSA/INTERCLEAN — North America.
IEHA will be offering its 3rd Integrated Cleaning & Measurement™ (ICM) Symposium on Oct. 4-5 and its REH/CEH Boot Camp on Oct. 6-7, among other educational and networking opportunities.
For more information about this conference, visit the association’s website at www.ieha.org.
• TRSA — The blending of TRSA and the Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA) has led to the creation of a new committee structure, which will be the focus of this year’s Joint Committee Meeting on Oct. 6-7 at the Chicago O’Hare Hilton.
The new system has prompted new attendance guidelines to ensure the meetings are productive.
All committee meetings are open only to committee members, except for the Environmental Leadership Council (open to all members) and Associate Committee meetings (open to associate members), TRSA says. All member attendees are welcome to attend the JCM Reception on Oct. 6 and all meal functions.
