The company says that the new business has great potential for profit and growth since it will focus on services shown to be in high demand by local businesses: laundering uniforms, linens, shop towels and floor mats, to name a few.
According to NPI, the commercial laundry will provide employment not only to individuals already affiliated with the program, but also to the community work force. As the business grows, it will allow the individuals NPI serves to work side by side with new employees from the community.
Nishna Productions Inc. is a nonprofit community rehabilitation agency offering vocational and residential services to individuals with disabilities living in five counties in far southwest Iowa.
The new vocational skills training facility is tentatively scheduled to be completed in April 2011.
